MT BULLER 2011

It's that time of year again when Melbourne temperatures drop below 13C, the drive NE from Melbourne is packed with cars rolling towards Mansfield and our car starts to smell of fish and chips.

Yes it's winter and Mt Buller is officially open. What is more, there is snow. Not just a dusting but a nice solid base that is stable enough to take skiers all the way down to the bottom of Little Buller Spur. Yes, Mt Buller and the Victorian Alps are killing it!

I headed up with Anna and Matt (note: first time us siblings have skied at Buller together in a LONG time) and our awesome Mumma Bubbles, Charis, she adds the style and grace. We skied, ate, danced and drank delicious tequila.

This weekend just made me even more excited for the upcoming season, especially the start of July when I'll be up at Buller for 2 weeks coaching with TBR and skiing everyday.

While the rest of the family went and played in the park, I went for a baby trek up The Summit that is not quite yet open and went for a ski down towards Howqua. There was a lot if tundra skiing involved but the first few turns were worth it!

With cold temperatures and a bit more snow, more lifts will be spinning over the next few weeks! woohoooo. Can't wait.
