The title gives the impression that I am about to start ranting about Melbourne, well it's more of an up-beat happy hum, because I just had an amazing weekend.
Yes the weather in Melbourne is moody, it is as confused as a temperamental teenage who is about to sit their final exams, they're not sure whether to explode or continue on moping........... I feel like I am writing an autobiography.
It began with french toast, was followed by live music and was finally topped-off with some bouldering by a river.
The french toast was just necessary, it filled my belly, went well with sparkling wine and was a great intro to the afternoon entertainment, The Boroughs, a New York inspired festival .feat New York Dolls and other rockin' local talent.
The Boroughs was held at the Globe warehouse in Port Melbourne, sporting a bootleg bar, a sick down rail that was being sessioned by some of Australia's best skaters and an audience full of babes, I was sad to leave early for work.
One small thing I was happy to part with were the Monster girls, not the girls in particular, they were pretty and cute and did their job well, I just wish energy drink companies would be a bit more creative and put some originality into the "sex sells" aspect of their campaigns.
The girls were accompanying the Monster breakdancers, an idea would be to get some females break dancers out there who know how to break it down. Or some ladies like below, who are babes, have an interesting talent and flaunt it.

The next day, I slept in and slowly made my way to the Burnley climbing walls under the M1 and climbed for the first time in 2.5 months. It was painful. The bouldering walls have been around for a long time but they were recently re-opened after a year of closure due renovations on the freeway. I'm so happy they are back, free, communal climbing in central Melbourne- yes please!
