The Duck House

–noun, plural ducks, (especially collectively for 1, 2) duck.
1. any of numerous wild or domesticated web-footed swimming birds of the family Anatidae, esp. of the genus Anas and allied genera, characterized by abroad, flat bill, short legs, and depressed body.

–verb (used without object)
1. to stoop or bend suddenly; bob.

Meet the Duck House. It's name doesn't necessarily make sense but I think it looks as if a cottage and a chicken coup got in a fight and this was their resolution:

By chance the door also adds to the name because when entering and exiting you literally have to duck.

The house has also acquired other nicknames such as the 'Hobbit House', small and 'my home'. Despite the name, or it's tiny size it is a cosy, cute and lovable little pad that I am proud to inhabit. I plan to have a dinner party to see how many people I can fit in at once-

My housemate Fiona cookin' up.
