BOSS DE BOSSES

For all you hotdoggers out there I know you will enjoy this one.

Rockin' Tye Dye in the bumps

This winter was the 21st Chamonix Boss de Bosses... (which is best translated as boss of the moguls).

For one day of the year, a mogul field is skied in at the Grands Montets for some old school style, inter-resort dual moguls. You can check out the full story here:

Being one of my last weeks of my season is Chamonix, I was definitely up for some bluebird mogul hopping. So I joined the team, searched my limited baggage for dress-ups and borrowed some skinny park skis from Seb.

Concentrated on kickin' ass

Spectators, dual moguls is a nicely rounded spectator sport, including epic skiing, crashes, jeering, costumes and general frivolity (not to mention the occasional beer).

Telemarkers and snowboarders are also included in game. This is my ski buddy Morgan ripping through the moguls, ON TELES, which in my mind is pretty sick.

For the first time in several years Chamonix dominated the event, taking back it's prize possesion, the trophy, crowning it the Boss de Bosses champion for 2010. Go team, I even got a pretty little medal to prove it.

Hanging out with the least colourful (but coolest) guy on the hill

One of the many interesting get-ups, this lady has balls.

Although I didn't get to ski with Glen Plake as a part of my team, I had a really awesome time- I can't wait to get back to Mt Buller and The Abom Mogul Challenge to continue the fun.

Thanks Adam Johnston for all the photos and Chamonix for the sweet day of punishing bumps.
