Enjoying myself @ Grands Montets
The name of a restaurant in Melbourne and also a good description of how the weather has been in the Alps these past few days....FOGGY.
I can't complain considering the last month or two of powder snow that I have experienced but I have to admit, I miss the sun.
Before the fog rolled in, I had an epic day skiing with a nice little Swedish crew at the Brevent lift station; including The Swedish family and the Sahlen Brothers.
Airtime at Brevent
This was then followed by a visit from the lovely Hanna Fischer- direct from Verbier to the Duck House- who accompanied me in slashing some nice fresh pow pow at Grands Montets for the 2nd sunny day in the past weeks.
Since these two days filled with Vitamin D I almost thought I would never see the sun again. I left Chamonix to stay with Hanna and her mum in Verbier only to find that flat light and fog were right on my heels. Sorry if I ruined anyone's weekend..... We still had fun, trekking through unknown territories, hoping that our goggles wouldn't fail us and lead us into a large unseen ditch.......
I am happi to say that finally I have found the sun-- it woke me up this morning and I was very glad to welcome it home :D
