Montana: Moonlight Basin, Freeskiing World Qualifiers

Road trip! After 2 days on the couch and an awesome bluebird pow day at Alta, Sam Lee the Ibex and I packed up and rolled off to Montana.

I have never driven north of SLC, so I was damn excited after we got past Ogden....it was pretty flat and only got interesting when we finally made it to Yellowstone. We hung out with some dainty bison.

We are staying in Bozeman, about 1 hr drive from Big Sky and Moonlight Basin. Waking up earlier is going to be troublesome but we do have a Hello Kitty toaster here in the dream pad. Who could complain?

Montana's mountains are everything and more than I expected. They are unbelievable. The comp venue at Moonlight Basin is probably one of the coolest faces I have skied in a comp (will ski). It is steep, long and the snow is beautiful.

Tomorrow is going to be a fine day, I have a fun line in mind and until then I have Aspen Extreme.
