In between my days of looking like this in the snow:



I have been trying to rest and rejuvinate, so that I don't begin to look like this:




It has worked, I still have my healthy vigour and I haven't taken up cigars.....but I wouldn't mind a pair of spectacles like that.

Earlier this week I decided to go on a mission to downtown SLC.....which may I add is a major mission as the public transport system is fairly fickle in these parts and only likes to service certain areas of SLC.

Hence, my trusty stead was brought along for the ride.........

I have no idea how old he is, though he is greying, but he was mine for the neat price of $40 and I will love him like a new bike.


Together we got to the train stop and rode to the elusive 'downtown'........and it remains fairly elusive as I really didn't find much downtown.

I did, however, make a quick visit to the Salt Lake City Main Library, which to my amazement had an extensive collection of international and local zines.

After this discovery, I felt a little bit more faith in the SLC culture and following the guidance of a lovely local found a mean piece of Vegan Choc Cake at Oasis Cafe, which is well worth a visit.
