FWT Qualifiers at Kirkwood

One day stop over in SLC and then back on the road. ........

......Currently I am sitting at the Kirkwood day lodge, watching the snow flaking harder than it does in Japan........wicked fun, except for the wind that whites out the view every few minutes....

Yesterday was the FWT Qualifiers, held at Lookout Vista, a south-facing venue of the Kirkwood resort. We checked out the course on Wednesday, after an epicly flat road-trip across Nevada and a day of Mexican food.

Unlike Crested Butte, this mountain calls to me........, not only is it beautiful, there are nice big rocks and lots of room.! Vanessa Aadland and I scoped the venue and figured out a 3-drop line with soft landings and kick ass airs.

I guess it worked out..... Vanessa qualified third and I took out first, a pretty exciting place to be!

Having a chance to advance to the semi-finals is even more exciting........the competition is stacked! 27 girls from all over the world, the best from the Freeskiing World Tour and the Freeride World Tour, competing on the same face for a spot in the finals. I am psyched!.......oh did I mention that there is at least 5ft predicted, if not more......WICKED.
