SNOgression

"Snogression was built to fill the void of the long summer months with no snow and no riding.....you can learn at your own pace and ride like you would a terrain park."
- Snogression Website

While theoretically it is spring in Utah, there is enough snow for it still to be winter. Nonetheless, I have been planning on making a trip down to Snogression all winter- so spring/winter- 'springter'- was the best time!

Snogression is a facility that was started by some local SLC shredders, to help the snow community progress during the summer months. There are a lot of great training facilities out there, I don't think there are many which cater to all skill levels like Snogression does. It is open the public all year round, with an intro training sessions to get you going and show you the way to success.
tramps

Snogression is fitted out with 3 nice springy tramps, two of which lead into the foam pit and a fake snow ramp leading kicker- into the foam pit. There are also facilities for BMX riding and skating.

Vanessa Aadland and I sped down to Sandy with our gear in tow for a intro class last week. Kevin ran through some basic skills and then got us playing on the tramps.

I have been bouncing about on trampolines since I was a kid but it was only in the last 2 years that I have been trying to improve my tricks. I am still battling to make my back flips easy and pretty. Stress no more, in 5 minutes, Kevin had me flipping without thinking.....I'm not scared of them anymore. Thanks!

We didn't spend too long on the ramps, Vanessa and I were too busy playing on the tramps but we did have an intro with a few jumps. There is a tow that is set up at the top of the ramp for speed and a nice plush foam pit to land in.

I am super glad that I went and checked out the Snogression warehouse because it is definitely a great place to hone your skills before you take them out onto the snow. Hopefully I'll get one more visit in before I head back to Australia.
