Ironically The Kid is probably older than me and seen many more winters than I have (and also a few more car crashes).
Nonetheless, he drives like a wildcat and I am throughly fond of him because of his likeness to little TRULY, our Pugeot who is hanging out tout seul out the front of casa segal in AUS.
So driving......as some may already know I am more of a bike rider, cars and especially traffic make me mad, I can thank Papa Segal for teaching me the ways of road rage. But I can drive, although I know some friends prefer to walk than spend 5 minutes of terror in a car with me.
......... However, the prospect of having my own little pimp car to take me skiing got the better of me and on my maiden voyage I was beaming like a little sun, driving with the windows down and the music up loud!
The Kid was great! For about 2 days. Having been passed down line of au pères the little kid has had a few major opereations leaving it with a funny and smelly fuel tank, no petrol indicator ( i have to guess when it is empty- good telepathy practice) and a nice big dent in side.
.... So the other day I felt very safe when the car started smelling like gas and smoke and the fuel tank started to leak!....to the mechanic.... he decided that a leaky fuel tank is fine "come back in 3 days when I am less busy".....great, i love french service.....but I refused to stay away after finding a big crack in a plastic pipe that was next to the engine...i didn' know what is was but I knew it wasn't good.<........so the kid is precious, I feel like an extreme driver everytime I leave the house. FUNTASTIC.....I think I am going to start taking the bus!
