Nick cooking or at least standing in the kitchen!
Rue de Lévis (just near Nick's house), a fairly kick ass market.
It was so nice to get to know Elodie’s cat, who on the first night of my stay decided to make a bed out of my back and later in the evening my face…..unfortunately the pair departed to the Caribbean for Christmas, leaving me all by myself in the apartment. Thus,I have no photo evidence that this happened except my feelings of shock.
The 17th is just near Pigalle, home of the Moulin Rouge and Montmatre- Picasso's hood and the home of many Impressionist and avant-garde painters. It is also the home of my favourite site in Paris, Sacre Coeur.
Even though the appartment was empty I was not alone. After one day of full solitude,I found two lovely Australian ladies lost in Paris. Amy and Claire- who arrived on Christmas Eve- for kicks they decided to take motorcycles from the airport...... all I can say is classy!
I taught them all I knew about Paris, which wasn't too much, how to use the metro, where to buy bread and food near my house and how to flirt with french waiters ( we might get to that one later). I taught them well and in return they let me hang out with them......Thanks guys!
Amusing ourselves in the market while waiting for bread.
Just generally rocking out, the Australian Way,loudly and without fear!
So the girls prompted me to stop touring the art museums of Paris tout seul and make an effort to go a few tourist destinations.
However, telecommunications have not advanced far enough to allow myself and Claire to contact one another and so generally we lost each other-----a lot.
Waiting outside Notre Dame for a good 40 minutes made me nice and cold.
But as always the wait was worth it and I found another church that I am happy to never forget.
I like having friends in Paris simply because they make you feel less like a tourist and more like an adventurer. Nick's house was the perfect pad for three lovely australian ladies.
Claire and Amy
We made dinner.
We ate quality streets, another quality chocolate all the way from london.
We enjoyed mini bottles of beer from the local casino shop.
We also watched Ratatouille at least twice.....I watched it three times consecutively. Truthfully it made me feel that much more french!

If you are yet to view this animated film I would reccomend that you get your priotities straight and go and rent a copy....now.
