LES ARCS et Chez Petitots!

The plan: Go to France and ski....stay in Les arcs and visit Mademoiselle Laura Petitot and the family!

Leaving Australia, this seemed like a very good plan. Les Arcs is a ski station that is located just above a little village called Bourg-St-Maurice. During school I stayed there for one month at Chez Petitots (an amazing french family who live right on the ski slope at Les Arcs 1600), as their little exchange student.

Personally I preferred the Petitots house. Michel, Isabelle, Remy and Laura are my saviours.

La chaleur is a word I learnt while I was staying at Les Arcs, it means warmth. Chez Petitots embodies this word. The minute you enter the house it seems that everything is all good!

La chaleur was a life saver when 'the plan' went pear shaped and I had to rearrange my trip. While doing so I hung out and got my adventurer on with my french counter-parts.

We went powder racketting as lift passes were too expensive.
Laura and her boyfriend Pamphile decided to have a punch up in the middle of the expedition.

I preferred to stay cool and calm and remain out of the dispute...Luckily no frenchies were harmed in the battle and we made it home to eat chocolate and drink tea-----the only better past time other than playing in the snow!

Laura and her dad Michel took me ski touring near Ame. We hiked to the top and then skied down the backside to a small village, which is used during summer to weigh the cheesE of the Beaufort cows that chill out in the mountains when there is no snow.

Driving home I was a content little cookie. Snow, sun, picnics and a plan to head to Lyon....woooo hooo. Thanks Laura, Remy, Michel and Isabelle for looking after me so well! Hopefully I will be seeing you soon. BISOUS!
